1 Bligh has been awarded the highest Green Star rating score in Sydney/NSW, which includes the maximum allowable five points for innovation in categories such as environmental design initiative and exceeding Green Star benchmarks. 

Contributing to 1 Bligh’s green credentials is its distinctive “double skin”. The transparent façade comprises two layers of glass which are separated by a ventilated cavity and contain adjustable automatic blinds to shade the internal layer of glass, dramatically reducing solar heat gain while maintaining the harbour views.

A black water recycling system, recycled rain water for irrigation, gas generated energy for cooling, heating and electricity, and roof-mounted solar panels for electricity also contribute to 1 Bligh’s environmental rating.
